When I joined CloudSuite over five years ago, I had no experience in IT. My background was in the fashion industry, where I worked as a buyer for several years at well-known brands. It was enjoyable, but at the same time, it was an industry with a completely different dynamic. In hindsight, it didn't align as well with my interests as the IT sector, which, in my opinion, offers much more potential for the future.
At my last job, I managed the webshop. I handled photography, content, ensured products were online on time, and communicated with the company responsible for the webshop software – a company like CloudSuite. My interest in e-commerce grew, and I felt that was my future. I came across the support specialist vacancy at CloudSuite through a job board. The first interview was refreshing, so relaxed – a total contrast to the fashion industry. And my lack of experience? That wasn't a problem. I brought my degree and the eagerness to learn new things with me.
As a Platform Support Specialist, I was the initial point of contact for our customers. I handled calls and emails, ensuring that queries and issues were resolved. I collaborated with various teams within the company, swiftly familiarizing myself with CloudSuite and our product. There's a reason new consultants spend some time working with our support team – it's a great way to get to know the ropes.

eCommerce Implementation Consultant
My time as a Platform Support Specialist was valuable, but instead of just solving problems, I also wanted to build something new. That's why, after two years, I transitioned to my current role as an e-commerce implementation consultant. In this position, I initiate projects with new clients and ensure that existing projects continue to run smoothly. New projects always start with various workshops where I try to uncover the client's requirements.
In addition, I conduct webinars for clients, showcasing new modules or functionalities that we have developed.
Additionally, after new deliveries or implementations, we conduct release demos to demonstrate our capabilities and provide an in-depth understanding of the system's functioning. As a consultant, you possess the most comprehensive knowledge about a specific client and the configuration of their online environment.
It might sound strange, but looking back on the past five years, it feels like I work for a completely different company now. CloudSuite has transformed into a place where people want to stay. We've become a close-knit team.
Office humor has always been a part of our culture. For instance, before a project is delivered, we thoroughly test it. In the case of a webshop, this involves placing a few test orders. One of my colleagues thought he had placed a test order, but a few days later, a massive box of paint supplies arrived at the office. Another colleague responded to this incident in our group chat by creating a meme, portraying the colleague who made the mistake as Bob Ross. So, having a good sense of humor is a must around here.
To succeed at CloudSuite, you need to be a go-getter, I believe. Our product, our platform, is never finished; it's always evolving. And in this evolution, everyone's input is valued. You need to be willing to brainstorm, to voice your ideas. It's possible that something you suggest becomes a new feature in the platform a few months later, showcased in a release demo. Your efforts are recognized and rewarded here. It could mean a promotion or a lateral move. If you're truly dedicated, there are ample opportunities at CloudSuite.
