The CloudSuite platform is a B2B and B2C eCommerce product for wholesalers and brand manufacturers. Put more simply, it's a powerful tool for building high-quality webshops. What's intriguing about it is that it's a complex and versatile off-the-shelf product that we keep as applicable as possible for a wide range of customers through continuous development and improvement. Can you, as a Software Developer, make a concrete contribution to this?
As a Software Developer, you primarily build new features that are relevant to all customers and maintain the existing ones. You'll have a lot of interaction with customers to ensure that the functionalities you create will meet their practical needs and desires. You'll have plenty of time and space to explore how things can be improved and to learn. For example, if you know little about eCommerce, no problem – you'll dive into it step by step.
A significant challenge we're currently facing in Product Development, and will continue to focus on in the coming years, is transitioning to microservices. This enables us to develop continuously more easily and quickly. Additionally, at CloudSuite, we've devised a unique way to transition to microservices while still working on the product. It's a bit like changing a tire on a moving car – challenging, but guaranteed excitement.

The CloudSuite Product Development team currently consists of around 15 developers. Knowledge sharing and retention form the foundation of our team. We gather for a learning hour every two weeks, during which someone prepares a presentation and exercise on a complex or current topic. We also regularly attend conferences or congresses as a team.
Additionally, we engage in pair programming extensively: two programmers working together on one screen and one keyboard. This has several benefits: you can tackle a complex problem together, gain new knowledge as a pair, and adhere to the principle of having four eyes on the code. This way of working also ensures that we're well synchronized in Development. Together, we strive for the best solutions and the highest quality every day.
